Saint Olga

This saint was a queen of Russia. She was originally called Helga. Through the Holy Baptism, she was renamed Eleni in the year 957.

One can hardly describe her tireless efforts for the Christian enlightenment of the Russian people. He did everything for the Russians to know the truth of the Gospel of Christ. When this saint once came with her entourage to Byzantium, she received a warm welcome for her struggles in favor of Christianity. It was during this struggle that she breathed her last on July 11, 969.One of her grandsons, Vladimir, would later become the Russian leader who introduced Christianity as the official state religion.
